Using technology doesn’t have to be complicated or expensive, why are running a blog series where we shine a light on some few free tech platforms!
Todays topic… Social media and content.
If you are like most other small to medium sized charities, you don’t have a dedicated and experienced social media manager. Maybe it is bolted on to another role, or maybe it is a team effort. However you do it, here are some tools to help do it better.

Do you really have time to post every other day? Probably not, but you need to! Buffer is a free social media post scheduling tool. Connect three of your social accounts, and schedule up to ten posts in advance on each platform! This means just one mornings work and you can be all set for a few weeks.
Perhaps you are not a social media whizz… How on earth would you know what to hashtag? Well this easy to use solution allows you to search the most relevant hashtags in your space.
Use Mailchimp to shout about your cause, keep stakeholders updated and maintain contact with your volunteers. Mailchimp is great for sending newsletters and with their drag and drop elements and integrations features, creating sleek mailouts has never been easier. It’s free to send up to 10,000 emails per month and store 2000 contacts. If you need to send more than that, then they offer charitable discounts.
We hope these suggestions were helpful. If there are any we have missed, please let us know.
